The ECHO2 9’0” #5DC was designed for advanced distance casting and competition. The rod has three low-friction SIC stripping guides to reduce friction during extreme overhauling. It also has a downlocking anodized aluminum reel seat to "lengthen" the rod for casting.

Given the success of the Echo Classic Ultimate Distance, Tim was excited to design the Ultimate Distance #5 Echo2 rod and introduce a significant increase in performance and functionality.
The Echo2 Ultimate Distance rod is not for the faint of heart. It’s designed for aggressive casters with fast hand speed. It is more powerful than its predecessor; this allows the rod to generate ultimate line speed and distance. The rod also features super low-friction SIC stripping guides, as well as the Echo2 “Two Tip System”. Because of the incredible amount of power generated by the rod, it’s important to match the correct tip to your casting style. While the rod wasn’t designed for fishing, if you want to do so we suggest using a #6 or #7 line with the rod.
